It’s amazing how quickly the months can pass and before you know it, your wedding day is here. Looking and feeling your best will be your goal.

Your bridal weight loss does not have to be difficult or painful. By following a few simple tips, you can be on the road to a picture perfect day.

Tips for Losing Weight:

- Pitch the party trays, cookies, and left-over desserts from your bridal shower, engagement party and other functions. Donate your goodies to a nearby homeless shelter. They will appreciate your generosity while your waistline will appreciate the break.

-Don’t be afraid to ask the question “Am I really hungry”? If you can wait 30 minutes, see if your hunger goes away. If it doesn’t, have something to eat.

-Your car should be packed with a case of water bottles at all times so that you can quickly have a grab and go drink.

-Kick the soda habit and replace all sodas with water for one full month.

-Fill two thirds of your plate with fruits and vegetables and commit to eating at least two of these at each meal.

*Keep fresh fruit, veggie sticks, nuts, seeds, yogurt and low fat cheese available for quick pick-me-up snacks.

*Know your maximum calorie intake to maintain or lose weight.

-Write your foods in a daily food journal.

-Invest in a rice cooker. They only cost around $20 and make a very healthy side dish.

-Recognize your milestones and reward yourself with fun activities that don’t involve food (such as shopping, manicures, facials, etc.).

-Get rid of tempting foods in your refrigerator or cupboard.

*Remove temptations from your cupboards and refrigerator.

-Stay away for processed foods, fast foods, and alcohol. All contribute empty calories with no real nutritional benefit.

-Try new foods such as rice noodles, tofu, venison, okra, eggplant and more.

*Don’t give up if you slip up.
